NOVALinked™

NOVALinked™ is a networking system that provides complete control of NOVA’s Trolley™ E-Class units in a classroom or training room setting.

When in "networked" mode, NOVALinked™ allows the instructor or presenter to raise or lower every Trolley™ unit in the classroom, simultaneously.  When in "local" mode, NOVALinked™ relinquishes control of The Trolley™ units to each workstation, allowing individual students the ability to raise or lower their own computer screens.

NOVALinked™ is compatible with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other major brand controllers.  The system requires the installation of one Control System Interface Module (CSIM, $350.00 list) located at the instructor’s lectern or desk, and one Linking Control Interface (LCI, $200.00 list) located at each individual student’s workstation.  The modules are connected via standard CAT5 patch cables with RJ45 jacks.  One CSIM unit, in tandem with individual LCI’s at each workstation, can control up to thirty Trolley™ E-Class units.

Instructors/presenters now have complete control over technology use within the learning environment.  Teachers can control all computer use by raising and lowering computer displays with the touch of a button.  This is an ideal solution for multi-use classrooms where both computer and non-computer classes are conducted.  When it’s time for computer class, the teacher can raise all of the computer screens, via The Trolley™ E-Class.  When computer time is over, the instructor can simply lower all the computer screens to their resting position, beneath the work surface.  Additionally, testing centers can use the NOVALinked™ system to maintain strict controls during examination sessions.
